PRIVACY

Your details, explained.

TLQ adds travel information to supported websites. We do not collect your search history, sell your browsing activity or add advertising trackers. You choose which features run. Google sign-in is optional.

Website and previously collected signups

The website now links directly to the Chrome Web Store and no longer asks you to join a waitlist. If you previously signed up, we retain your email, signup time, consent record and verification status for the purpose you agreed to. Resend handles verification email delivery. Existing confirmation links remain supported. You can request deletion by emailing rishimunibharadwaja@gmail.com.

We use Google Analytics cookies and cookieless Vercel Analytics to understand visits to this website. Analytics loads automatically on public pages. Vercel Speed Insights also measures public-page performance, excluding operational pages and URL query parameters and fragments. We measure public page visits and clicks to our Chrome Web Store listing, including which install button was used. A Store click is not a confirmed installation. Collection runs only on tlq.io, excluding local development and preview deployments. Page locations exclude URL query parameters or fragments. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals. Google and Vercel process website usage and device information under their own privacy policies. This does not track searches or activity inside the extension. Our hosting providers process requests to serve the website and API. The API temporarily counts requests by IP address to limit abuse.

Flight details in the extension

On supported Google Flights pages, the extension reads flight details already loaded by Google to display aircraft, legroom and amenities. Browsing flight results does not send these details to our API or save them as search history. When you click an aircraft’s seat-map link, we send its airline code, flight number and departure date to our API and then to SeatMaps to find the map. Our handler does not store this lookup or send analytics events. The returned map opens on SeatMaps, a separate website governed by its own privacy policy. Our API temporarily counts requests by IP address to limit automated lookups.

Flight comparison

Comparison reads the itinerary from your Google Flights URL and builds booking-site links in the extension. When you click Compare, city identifiers are resolved directly through Google when needed, and the selected booking sites receive the search details through their URLs. Each site has its own privacy policy. We do not send comparison searches to our API, save search history or add affiliate and referral identifiers. Your selected sites are saved per guest or account in Chrome Sync.

Installation accounts and device details

Each extension installation creates an anonymous TLQ account, even when you do not sign in. We store install and update observations, creation time, operating system, architecture, browser and extension versions, and language to understand installation reliability. Chrome opens a TLQ page after uninstall to record that observation when connectivity allows. This does not collect your browsing or search history. Random installation secrets stay on your device; our database stores only their hashes.

Extension accounts

If you sign in to the extension with Google, we store your Google account identifier, name, email and account creation time in our PostgreSQL database. Google verifies your identity. A Google user can own multiple installation accounts, each with its own preferences. We record sign-in and sign-out events for those accounts. We use this information to provide your account, separately from the early-access mailing list. Sign-in does not give us access to Gmail, your browsing history or travel bookings.

A session is saved in the extension on your device for up to seven days; our server stores only a hash of its secret token. Signing out revokes that session. Appearance, connection-display, mystery hotel reveal, flight legroom, flight comparison and measurement-unit preferences are saved in Chrome Sync and, while signed in, in your TLQ account. Chrome can sync these preferences across your browsers when browser synchronization is enabled. Session tokens are never stored in Chrome Sync. Your account and operational event history remain after sign-out or uninstall, until you request deletion. To request removal of your account or waitlist entry, email rishimunibharadwaja@gmail.com.

The extension checks which features are available. These checks use your existing session when signed in, so feature availability can apply across your installations. Availability settings are stored with your user; checks do not include the pages you visit or your travel searches.

Mystery deal reveals

On supported mystery-deal pages, the extension reads the deal identifier and search details from the current URL and requests hotel information directly from the booking platform. These requests omit cookies and tracking identifiers. We do not send reveal activity to our API or analytics services, and we do not save your searches or results. Hotel links open the booking platform directly without affiliate redirects.

On Hotwire Hot Rate pages, the extension compares the current deal with named hotels from the same search using Hotwire’s existing hotel data and actual hotel photos. It reads only the relevant, unexpired hotel search cache and room-photo responses already loaded by Hotwire. Hotel names, addresses and photos are checked through public Hotwire property pages, with cookies and referrers omitted. This processing stays in your browser; hotel clues, booking tokens and reveal results are not sent to TLQ or saved as reveal history.
